Is it taboo for a jew and israeli-arab/palestinian to be friends in Israel? Or even get married or be in a romantic relationship?

For ex I know that in Israel jews and israeli-arabs go to the same university. So naturally they will have to interact in classes or labs. How can they avoid becoming close friends or even get involved in a romantic relationship?

Many Jews and Arabs are friends. I think you are inquiring about friendships between Israelis and Palestinians who live in the "Occupied Territories".
There are Extremist Jews just as there are Extremist Muslims who deem Arab/Israeli friendships as treasonous.
There are Arabs who are Israeli Citizens, who hold offices in government etc.
There have been many instances of Israelis marrying Palestinians, however their relationships are not without their hardships.
Mistrust is deep seated between the two, but good people recognize good people. And people are still people regardless of their national status, so yes Israelis and Arab Israelis can be friends, depending on their own outlooks regarding the other.
It is not impossible for Israelis and Palestinians in the "Occupied Territories" to become friends...but Israelis do not travel to the 'Occupied Territories' to work, shop or any other business other than when in the Army, and so do not have friendly contact with Palestinians there.

You should not confuse between the two "nations":
There are Israeli Arabs that have full Israeli citizenship, and Palestinians Arabs that live in the occupied territories.
The Israeli Arabs go to the same universities as the Jews and some of them have good Jews friends.
Romantic relationships are rare but happen.
After the October 2000 riots when the Israeli Arabs turned against the government, there was a turn back in the relationship, and few Jews went to the Israeli Arab's stores and areas, but now it's getting better...

Yes and no, like a lot of things. I think currently, the Israeli's are not extending citizenship through marriage to an Arab non citizen. I am sure many people have friendships. Although this happened in America, there was an Israeli and an Egyptian who had faced each other in a tank battle that were very good friends.

The area we are talking about has had many names over the centuries. It has been called Israel, Palestine, the Holy Land, Canaan, and Southern Syria. Maybe the Arabs we are talking about should call themselves Canaanites or Eastern Mediterraneans or whatever. What they call themselves has little bearing on whether they have a claim to the land or not. I think you are oversimplifying things when you claim that Arabs think that Israeli Jews are "Europeans" I would paraphrase their arguments more like this: "Many of the Israelis are European Jews or the descendants of European Jews. Their descendants lived in Europe for over 1000 years and should have stayed in Europe. They should not have moved to the Middle East against the expressed wish of the local inhabitants. The British who controlled the area and called it the British Mandate of Palestine should not have let them in." You say God promised the land to the Jews. This is a moot point.

People can get along on an individual level. Each person has their own characteristics. Similarly, each nation has its own character.

The Arabs, as a nation, hate Jews and seek to kill or subjugate them as they have done in the past.

But you find a few brave individuals among the Arabs who do not feel this way.

Today's conflict is between the radical Islamism of the Arabs and Iranians, and the moderation of the West.

Another term for this is jihad.

Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists today are Muslims.

The Hamas and other Muslim terrorist groups have been firing hundreds of Qassam missiles at southern Israel since the summer of 2005 (when Israel left Gaza), targeting innocent Israeli citizens.. Recently they have "successful" and killed one Israeli woman and seriously injured five Israeli men.

The Israel Defense forces have the capability of flattening the town from which the Hamas terrorists have launched hundreds of missiles. Why does Israel not flatten this part of Gaza to stop the murderous attacks?

The Arabs, plain and simple, are not prepared to accept the presence of a Jewish state in their midst. They are therefore using the weapon of terrorism to attempt to destroy Israel and disperse the Israelis throughout the world.

To this end they have invented the "Palestinian People."

In fact, as David Basch wrote, "'Palestinians' [are an] Arab people no one heard of before 1967 before Israeli governments certified this piece of propaganda... As has been noted many times before, prior to 1948, that is before Jews had begun to call themselves Israelis, the only persons known as "Palestinians" were Jews, with the Arabs much preferring to identify themselves as part of the great Arab nation."

Ahmed Shuqeiri, later the chairman of the PLO, declared to the UN Security Council "It is common knowledge that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria."

Syrian President Hafez Assad once told PLO leader Yassir Arafat:

"You do not represent Palestine as much as we do. Never forget this one point: There is no such thing as a Palestinian People, there is no Palestinian entity, there is only Syria. You are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria. Therefore it is we, the Syrian authorities, who are the true representatives of the Palestinian people."

Only a clear and decisive victory by Israel over the Palestinians and their backers can bring peace to the Middle East.
