This is normal.
Dogs do not have monthly cycles.
They go into heat about every six months or so. They are in heat for about three weeks. They can have discharge for three weeks. It will range from blood to brownish sticky stuff.
That is normal.

Honey it isn't her fault that she's in heat. I hope that's not the reason you are getting rid of her. As for her heat cycle. The rule of thumb is that they are a week coming into heat, a week in heat & a week going out of heat. It's a 3wk cycle in most cases. We used to put diapers on our chihuahua to save the furniture. Good luck.

uhm... dogs don't get monthly's. they get it twice a year. except a certain breed (i forgot which one) which experience it once a year. it lasts for about 2 weeks. some dogs have dark red discharge... but not really brownish...

If you're not going to spay your dog, at least read up on it so you know what the heck is going on.
Your dog probably hates you too!

please dont hate your dog and make her suffer any longer... if you cannot get her spay please take her to a shelter that will and then give her to a good home. i hope you do more research with the next pet you get...this is making me sad. please do what is best for the dog not you!
