i went 2 years ago...about this time of year....paid £25 for a good room + bathroom in a B&B, about 200yds from seafront. Cant recall the name, (and I DO NOT know where the gay bars are :-)
but - honestly - there are thousands of small hotels/B&B's in blackpool, you'll have no trouble finding one

I gave an answer like this a while back, to be honest, most of the seafront B+Bs in Blackpool won't cost you more than £20-£40 per person per night.

I hope that helps!

i stayed at a dingy one called GR8 hotel, it had a shared bathroom but the bedding was clean, it was very cheap and in the town centre, ideal for a group of you as they do large bedrooms too, good luck! oh theres also a bar they keep open til bout 5am with kareoke in there so dont expect an early night!

All the b+bs there are cheap and cheerful otherwise they'd be out of business, and as you can't go out without tripping over a gay bar there, you'll never be far from one, no matter where you stay.

Pontins is extraordinarily affordable Me and my kinfolk wanted to bypass to the "tackiest place in the united kingdom" so we chosen blackpool and playes like £2 hundred for 6 human beings so in case your going via your self or in smaller group could desire to be extremely affordable!

no chance.

you may get a hostel but there won't be no bathroom in it.

even at southend its £25.00 per night. so blackpool - way more especially what with the crimbo lights and all.
