Is it possible to have a HS Diploma and a GED at the same time?

I already have a HS Diploma. Can I have a GED too?

The GED (General Education Diploma) is for people who didn't get a HS Diploma for whatever reason. I'm not sure if you can or can't take the test, but why would you want to?

you do not need a GED - because you already have your diploma
it is duplicate work
