The Florida State bird - uh - mosquito - can get through some material and suprise you when you take your long sleeved shirt off. The proboscos is thin enough to go between the fibers of your clothing and long enough to hit the target.

Yes, certainly. There are some mosquitoes almost the size of a fly and they can bite through clothing. Thick clothing like bedsheets and trousers are no match for them. Though I've personally not found one that can bite through denim jeans.

Oh surely! I stay contained in the rustic so I communicate from adventure. those little bugger's might want to ruin their stinger yet they receives by those denims! So, in case you take advantage of an insect spray then spray them too.
