Make it the night before - when you have plenty of time, with the extras of you choice. Let it cool at the window before wrapping it in cling film>fridge or freeze overnight.
Take it to work with you and put in microwave for 1 min 30 secs.
You save money, time and the Planet by creating your perfect omelette - AND making your workmates jealous of your skill, ingenuity and thrift while at the same time contributing less to carbon dioxide output.
The same goes for other home-made 'ready' meals such as curry and rice, macaroni cheese, thick soups and buttered bread, ....the list is endless, my friend.

LOL...Unless you are making a real deluxe production version of an omelet, you will have enough time left to wash the dishes within 30 minutes.
Put pan or skillet on stove, turn on heat, add oil or butter - 1 minute.
Get cheese, chopped mushrooms, onions, bacon bits from fridge - 2 minutes
Crack 2-3 eggs, add salt and pepper and beat well - 1 minute
Pour eggs into pan, fold in ingredients and cook through - 3 minutes
Slide on to plate, get fork, sit down to eat. 1 minute
Allow 2 minutes margin for errors.
Total prep time : 10 minutes
Is 20 minutes enough for you to eat it?

Omeltes are an easy dish to make. Just beat up a couple of eggs, season and add herbs. Heat up your pan and pour in the mixture. When the mix starts to settle, start to pull from the edges so the mix on top can flow underneath. Keep doing this until the omelte is cooked. Then add cheese or whatever and then fold the omelet in half and then lift it from the pan unto your plate and enjoy!!!!

2 eggs
1/4 cup of milk
1/4 finely diced onion
salt and pepper to taste
Prepare a fry pan - use either pam or olive oil on medium high heat
Beat the mixture until it's almost frothy. Pour the mixture into your pan and cover it. This will allow your omelet to rise. Check on it to make sure it doesn't burn. You can either flip or fold your omelet and add grated cheddar cheese as an option.
Serve with hashbrowns and a nice piece of peameal bacon.
(I can cook this up for a family of six in 30 minutes)

ZIPLOC OMELETS
This works great !!! Good when you're alone or when all your family is together. Best feature is that no one has to wait for their special omelet !!! Have guests write their name on a quart-size Ziploc freezer bag with permanent marker.
- Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into the quart size Ziploc bag (not more than 2) shake to combine them.
- Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc.
- Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake.
- Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up.
- Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes.
- You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot.
- For more, make another pot of boiling water.
- Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily.
- Be prepared for everyone to be amazed.
- Nice to serve with fresh fruit and coffee cake;
- Everyone gets involved in the process and a great conversation piece.
Imagine having these ready the night before, and putting the bag in boiling water while you get ready.
And in 13 minutes, you have a nice omelet for a quick breakfast!!!

while bottom is cooking whack the grill to heat so you can cook the top of the omlette without having to sod around flipping it.
grate some cheese and cut up some tomatoe while top is cooking and then add and fold and cook.
30 mins is plenty.
