I mean America went there to rid the world of Terrorism, so Im assuming there must be countless examples of terrorist acts commited by Iraq against Americans to justify such a huge campaign.

Here is the truth, so don't report me.
Saddam openly gave money to the families of Palistinian suicide bombers. This prompted more people to sign up to do it. In at least 2 attacks Americans were killed and wounded. Thus, under the war on terror, he was a state sponsor. Also the terrorist who hijacked the cruise ship Achille Laurel and killed an American was known to be hiding in Bahgdad. Add in his cointinued disobeying the terms ending the 91 Gulf War and violating other sanctions, our invasion was 100% justified under the UN. I know many fail to know this, some refuse to let it get in the way of their hate for Bush. But in a nutshell and without going for another 500 pages this is the truth. Feel free to investigate it and learn for yourself.

You assume too much my friend... Prior to America's invasion of Iraq, they had launched zero terrorist attacks against America... their "justification" for the war is they're fighting terrorism. All this war has done is create more hate and dissent toward the US. I firmly believe we are in more danger now than we were before 9/11 and right after.

In the mid-1990s, Saddam Hussein hired an assassin to attempt to kill former President Bush, which was stopped by the CIA. That would be considered a terrorist act.

Saddam Hussein also unleashed biological weapons on the Kurds resulting in tens of thousands of deaths, which is a terrorist act against his own people.

The Ba'ath army used eco-terrorism during the Persian Gulf war when they set fire to the Kuwaiti oil fields.

In 1986, the Iraqis were in the process of building a nuclear reactor and had a seperate compatible weapons facility built, which could be combined to make nuclear weapons. Having previously pleged to use them against American and UN allies, Israel launched an offensive and destroyed the plant. They were threatening nuclear terrorism.

Now that you're a little more educated, please write "I will not be a liberal crybaby" on the board 100 times.

12 December 1983: US Embassy in Kuwait was targeted by Iraqi Shia terrorists who attempted to destroy the building with a truck bomb. The attack was foiled by guards and the device exploded in the Embassy fore-court killing five people.

4 December 1984: Kuwaiti airliner hijacked en-route to Pakistan from Dubai by Iraqi Shia terrorists. The aircraft was forced to land in the Iranian capital, Tehran, after two Americans had been killed. The terrorists surrendered to the Iranian authorities and are later released.

18 January 1991: Iraqi agents planted bombs at the U.S. Ambassador to Indonesia's home residence and at the USIS library in Manila.

15 April 1993: Iraqi intelligence service attempt to assassinate former US President, George Bush, during a visit to Kuwait.

This list is far from exhaustive and doesn't include (because you didn't ask) attacks agaisnt French, British, German, Belgian, Turkish, Greek, Austrian, Iranian, and UN targets, nor those directed against other Iraqis.

So I have a question for you? How many attacks does it take? What's you r "magic number" that would make it alright? WHy isn't one enough? For that matter, why isn't the threat of one enough?

Iraq did not control, harbor, attack with, or directly finance any terrorists against the United States.

Bush should have researched the country on "the Google".

There could no longer be certainty or certainty in all of their words, yet go searching inclusive of your eyes open and notice what has grow to be of our great united states of america. to respond to the question, no no longer for its finished history. yet whilst the yank human beings proceed to sit down down back and watch and not act then there is that threat. there is evil in place of work.
