koran, bible says it all. women in those cultures were treated no different than objects. so they were made to cover and remain that way till a man possed them.

thats why jesus changed the laws to liberate all people and rejected the laws of the old testament right.

why do muslims still hold onto the stupid cruel laws of the old testament?

Not all Muslims hold to the traditional views...many of the more educated, enlightened Muslim people live openly and free from that way of thinking

Most religions are written by God but scribed by humankind. This is why religions are so plentiful and plentifully misunderstood. We corrupt everything that we touch because we can't understand what can't be corrupted. I am sure there is a religious book out there written by women that glorifies them. Still if you are so upset about religious texts that you know of, then why not write your own doctrine. I did. Just make sure, if you are looking for God, to write God's word not your word, or someday someone will write about your text just like you are writing about the others now. Find truth in balance not lies in biases.

Jesus did not reject the Old Testament, He just modified it. In the Old Testament you had to sacrifice animals in order to get God to forgive your sins and in the New Testament Jesus became the sacrifice. All the Ten Commandments are the same, Jesus just added something to them.

yes. religious texts were written by men for their patriarchal religions.
women were treated worse than their animals.

and yes, according to the new testament jesus came to do away with the old ways and make a new covenant.

i don't think that muslims follow the christian bible, so they don't hold to it's old laws.

To oppose something my new child does, would not recommend i'd give up loving my new child. I even have a nephew (my oldest) who's a gay. He has continually been my in demand nephew (my mothers and fathers even observed it whilst he became youthful and that i had different nephews), and he will continually be my in demand nephew. i do now not consider the existence variety of homosexuals, it particularly is intercourse between 2 men or between 2 women human beings. it particularly is my superb to now not consider it. It would not make me a undesirable individual. i do now not consider the existence variety of pedophiles, the two. it particularly is my superb to now not consider THAT. would a gay who would not consider heterosexual be a HETEROPHOBE and be a undesirable individual for feeling that way? Why is it you human beings purely ping on homosexuality? Why now not ping on BEASTIALITY and PEDOPHILIA, too? there are a number of extra people who're ineffective set against those to issues.

I do agree that many religions have a very unequal view of the sexes. I am dismayed by the fact that you seem to believe that Christianity hasn't played a role in opressing women as well, or just as much as the othe two you mentioned.

women hold up half of the sky said Mao. but most of the religions treat women as mere sex symbols and confine them to kitchen room only. and no religion is exception to this.even in advanced countries like the USA, the representation of women in senate and congress is disproportionate to their population.but one has to agree that to some extent Christianity does not put restrictions on the freedom of women.

Jesus did not change and reject the laws.
He lived by them, and expanded them to your intentions, not your actions
