Nope - all have sinned and fallen short of God's plan that is why He sent His Son.

So Ted was just acting like the typical Christian, a sinner.

No, otherwise that would be a title that would have to be appropriated to all. Ted Haggard is a human being, and like all of us who have a proclivitiy toward sin, he has to battle to do good because it takes real work and committment to apply the truths and principles that God outlines in his Word. Just like the time you fell head-over-heels in love with that girl or guy and was willing to change everything about yourself just to be with him or her -- that's what a believer committs to when they fall love with God. Ted Haggard is not there yet, but he just may one day...

Mav thinks he is a man living with a sex addiction and needs help.
Like most addicts, he probably has reasoned this out so much in his mind, he doesn't even realize that he's got a real problem.

He's got a long road ahead.

Yes, i think so. He wasn't just a "typical" sinner. He was leading thousand of people in the way of Christianity and deceiving all of them about his life. I find it hard to believe that there weren't a lot of people covering up for him.
