Not really but that is a good question. We know from the book of acts that the first church was formed in Jerusalem at Pentecost. However as far as a first building constructed as a church, I can only think of several that were built in Rome by the emperor Constantine in the early 4th century and then in other places afterward.

The term has never been used originally in reference to religious meeting places or buildings.

The word "church" came from the Greek "ekklesia," meaning "called-out ones." This refers to the believers who were called out, separated from the rest, as God's adopted children through the redemption provided in Christ. The church is also called as the Body of Christ.

Romans 8:9 says that if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. A real Christian then, or a real member of Christ's Body, are only those upon whom the Holy Spirit dwells - people who have been regenerated and sanctified by God to be His. They could be members or non-members of congregations. Sects or denominations have nothing to do with this, for God is not the author of division. The only pure and genuine religion that He approves of is in James 1:27.

Who were the first members of Christ's Body? The Holy Spirit was given only after the resurrected Christ ascended. It was the apostles and disciples upon whom the Spirit came upon on that eventful pentecost day in Jerusalem. There were about 120 of them. Acts chapters 1 & 2.

Jesus established the first Church on himself and not on Peter. The "rock" refered to is himself and in the early days of Christianity, people met in each others houses or wherever they could congregate. The Church is the actual body of people and not the building

The first congregations weren't churches, but we places of learning. Worship is done at home, alone, without an audience. Churches were created to make a way for elitists to place themselves above everyone else.
