You have to do the theory test first as they won't let you sit the practical without proof of having passed the theory. I recently passed both and have to admit that tho I orginally thought the hazard and perception test was a waste of time, now I'm driving it is useful. You do look for hazards as you drive along and the training for the test was useful. Good luck!!!

Theory first ,and my guess is that the administrrators of the test want you to take your theory knowledge and develop it safely before the rigors of a practical test. It also increases your chances of excelling at the driving practicals
