"screwed" is right.

I wouldn't do business (especially business where I give out my social security number) with anyone that has a "@yahoo, or @aol, or @hotmail, etc. email.

If the company is legitimate, you would think they would spring for the $30 or $40 to get a website address and legitimate email account.

Have you called the Better Business Bureau in your state (or his state) and asked about this company? Gone to the state's website and verified that he has a license? Anything?

No way would I do business with the "yahoo".

Be careful. This has scam written all over. If you have given this person any person information, such as your Social Security Number, contact all three credit bureaus and put a "freeze" on your ID. This will help prevent the culprit from stealing your identity. If you have not given him any information, I would recommend ceasing contact.
