after i download music and play it back on my pc it skips occasionaly. but i can burn a copy and it plays fine on a c.d. player. it only skips when listening to my music throgh my windows media player. i have tried disableling all anti virus programs but that doesnt help.it did this on wmp 10 and now it it still does it on wmp 11 as well please help me. Sometimes this happens to me when I have other programs running. Make sure other programs are exited.

Well this had happened to my computer as well, a lot of times, cause it is slow and full of junk. I am not saying that your computer is too full but try to clear some unwanted files and also try what trinity suggests to reinstall the program. Even try clearing up your ram and see what results it brings.

Try using VLC player. Its free software and plays almost all file formats

try downloading the software jetaudio or reinstall your windows media player from the control panel by using add remove windows components.
it will start working fine

hey its seems that your sound driver has some problem so i would suggest u to reinstall the proper sound driver for your sound card.i think it will solve your problem.
