HOW'S THIS THEN :::::
I got so fed up with them keep telling me that I hadn't got one (when I always HAVE had one) and they kept sending me forms to fill in asking about other residents in the house, that to start with I told them to do their own detective work, and secondly, and partly for my own benefit - I went on to direct debit, knowing that that way, even if I was away when the reminder came each year, it would be paid automatically.
Guess what?
No need to tell you really is there, you know what's coming------- Yes, I still got letters telling me that I hadn't got a licence, so in the end I smeared one of these letters with what they call a noxious substance, (yes, you're right ! ! !) and returned it to them, properly wrapped and sealed, by registered post.
Funny, I never heard from them again !
I wonder why?

Have to say - never had one at the door the entire time I have owned a tv! Am I the only one that can say that? Everyone else seems to have real issues about it. If you're legal then why bother about it??! I thought with all the technology they have now they were only coming around those they had no record of having a licence but still seem to a have a signal coming from their house. Willing to stand corrected!

a million. That vitriolic outpouring of hate isn't assisting your argument against private faculties. 2. Generalisations are hardly real looking. you could no longer declare to have attended each and each private college in the rustic and additionally you have no longer met each and each privately knowledgeable guy or woman, so how in the worldwide are you able to choose. 3. Even in the non-public and state sectors, the well-known and form of faculties variety extremely. i'm particular some private faculties are undesirable, yet some state faculties are horrendous. 4. the cost is many times nicely worth it. At my state college there have been 35 in one in all my classes, at my private college there have been 4. The behaviour became extra useful and so the lecturers have been extra comfortable. the ambience became many times nicer. The centers have been extra useful, we've been given extra opportunities to do extra matters, we've been surrounded be amazing homes and grounds. At my college, around 40% of the scholars have been given scholarships or bursaries so as that they weren't all wealthy. 5. My buddies from private college are somewhat some the least snobby, least pretentious human beings in the worldwide. they're being concerned, they are no longer ashamed to assert that they like getting to understand and that they are somewhat friendly and person. 6. they have lives. it rather is the human beings shouting abuse that could desire to get lives. 7. it rather is ''you're'', no longer ''your''.

Haha yes. they are sooooo annoying. iv just left uni and every year we would get a knock at the door and there would be some guy telling us that we didnt have a tv licence......even though we did! its the way they look at you like they dont believe a word your telling them!! I have sky and i think that paying a subscription for that is enough.
One year in my first year of uni when i was living in the Halls....none of us had a tv licence because they expected us to buy one for each room just because they had a lock on the door. so we just used to hide our tvs in our wardrobes whenever they came round!! haha

this is harrasment-an invasion of your privacy. if in the last 4 years the tv licencing bereau have not been able to prove you own a tv set then they should leave you alone. explain this to them -that this is an invasion of your privacy and if it does not stop legal proceedings will be taken-by the way-i hope your pc does not have a tv tuner card installed!!!!!.

Because they think everybody who hasn't got a license is breaking the law. Then if you say you haven't got a TV they want to look in your house to check. Their pathetic. Its almost as if they want you to buy one just to keep them from harassing you.

i do, i mean, why cant they get themselves a proper job, like,,,,,,building or something.
they could become estate agents, that way they still get to snoop about in other peoples houses but without malice. xxx
