I've always been very hard on myself, especially when i make mistakes or embarass myself. I totally humiliated myself with my boyfriend yesterday and now he's probably thinking i'm a total spaz. I feel i cant do anything right, and i feel i'm a bad person and dont deserve anyone. I think i have a social phobia because i live in fear of embarassing myself infront of people(and it happens all the time).Sometime si think i'm better off locking myself away forever, how can i be braver when i've always been like this?

If you get some counselling things will work out easier for you. Otherwise you know your problem. So you can take some simple steps to boost your self esteem .

1. Join a class to hone your social skills.

2. Know what you are good at and get a hobby. Practice your
skills

3. Update yourself on happenings around you. Read the papers
and watch the news.Keep abrest of happenings in music,
movies and fashion (common topics of conversation ) know
atleast whether the Sensex is up or down.

3. With other people till the time you master conversation skills
learn to be a good listener. Pay attention to what the next
person is saying and keep eye contact. A good listener is
much more popular than a good speaker.

4. When you wake up every morning tell yourself that you are
going to do atleast five things right during the day. At the end of
the day take your diary and note down what went right and
where you went wrong. Remember your weak points and keep
working on then for betterment

5. Good luck

Sometimes i feel the same way too. I'll be nervous around other people and wonder if they're judging me. I've really tried to look at the problem head on, and I think that focusing on what you think makes other people happy is a bad move. The most important thing is knowing that everyone has "do'h!" moments, even in front of lots of people. i realize that just being a nice person and caring about other people is enough. image is nothing.

INSECURITY IS A PART OF GROWING UP. UNLOCK THE DEMONS THAT ARE EATING U UP FROM INSIDE.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR SELF SO SERIOUSLY................. IT WILL KILL YOU.

LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES & LAUGH AT THEM AT TIMES.........................YOU ARE NORMAL, NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU.............
