21. But, if you can get a job with a haulage company, they could be able to put you a NVQ Modern Apprenticeship in Driving Goods vehicles. It take about a year or 2 but is worth it in the end because you gain knowledge about the industry while you are training and you get your license for free before you become 21.
From 2008 all new HGV drivers will have to do an NVQ before they get their license, so you may as well try and get it now.

Hgv 1.is articulated that means it pivots ,and takes 30 /40 /45,ft trailers..class 2 is tipper type with fixed bodies and large fixed wheel lorries,class 3 smaller lorries up to 17 ton usually 4 wheelers.
