Well, i cant eat the reccomended amount either! Breakfast is my biggest meal of the day so i eat a big bowl then it keeps me going for ages OR i eat a meduim sized bowl and have some fruit 3 hours later to keep hunger pangs at bay till lunch(its also good for the metabolism to eat frequently) :)

But i must also say that cornflakes doesnt have much fibre so isnt really gonna fill you up. Oats or bran are good. But if u like the cornflakes just carry on with the big bowl or eat some fruit later or with.

Well, cornflakes is little more than a simple sugar. Look at the dietary chart on the box. There are better choices like bran, whole grain and oat cereals. If you are determined to stick with cornflakes, include a protein in your breakfast meal. The carb will boost your energy level for the first half of the day and the protein will help prolong the energy a little while, plus slow down absorption of the simple carb so you won't crash so fast later on. Protein examples are: lean meat, nuts, peanut butter, etc.

This wont make you fat as long as you dont put sugar on them. I know friends who have lost weight eating only cereal for two meals a day then eating a healthy dinner.

Not all foods are "free foods" at some point they start to add up. Some cereals serving sizes are 3/4 of a cup, twice that is fine... 4 or 5x that is not.

If you do a Weightwaters diet they allow you to eat Shreddies or Rice Crispies in any volume that you like, they are called a 'free' food. I believe that Cornflakes are the same. SO long as you eat ithem with a healthy option milk and not full fat then that's fine.

Cornflakes dont have much goodness and dont fill you up much or keep you full for long. Much better to have a bowl of oats made with skim milk and water sprinkled with some seeds and a teaspoon of honey. You wont be hungry for ages and will help you keep slim.

Having a LARGE bowl of cornflakes for one's breakfast will NOT make you fat! It's what else you put in after that and for lunch and dinner and late night snacks....and alcohol and not exercising that will.

Very simple analogy = deposit less than you withdraw and you won't get fat.

* deposits = input of any sort
* withdrawals = output of any sort, exercise, raise your heartbeat, have sex.....

just find your balance and you'll be fine. Besides who says fat is wrong.....health wise to a degree yes.....but some areas of the world consider fat beautiful. Each to his own, just decide what you prefer and input/output to achieve that (without totally depriving and depressing yourself). Treats = motivation to continue. Deprivation = sure answer to failure on a "diet".

Instead of 30g of empty carbs, try 30 g of a protein food (eggs, cheese, meat). You'll be much more satisfied. Even 30g of veggies would be better, at least they're loaded with nutrients and they won't spike your blood sugar like cereal does.

Hi. Cornflakes are empty foods. You are better off to have oat porridge or some cereal with guts!!! This will give you sustained energy. Add some wholemeal toast to your breakfast. And maybe a piece of fruit. Cheers M

it extremely is healthy, yet no longer adequate. upload a pair of servings to meat (or protien), besides as complicated carbohydrate to that, and you have a surprisingly stable weight loss software. With that soup, you choose for something else (i.e. wheat bread and something finished of protien). below no circumstances could you consume below 1200 energy (and the burden loss software you positioned right here has possibly 500). in case you take in below 1200, your metabolism will decelerate, and you will have much extra difficulty dropping weight (plus you would be hungry). So, the stable information is you are able to consume extra, yet you're on the main astounding music, the ingredients you have chosen are healthy. you will even have the skill to adhere to the burden loss software in case you're actually not ravenous your self.

Your breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so have a good breakfast, whatever it is.It all depends on what you are doing too. If you are working you need it, but if you are lying about the house I would go for the smaller portion. If you skip breakfast you will be nibbling all day long.
