I took my daughter out to eat Friday, before spending the night at her grandmothers. Saturday morning she woke up vomiting everywhere. I know it was the food because we all felt strange but she got sick. I gave her clear liquids all saturday, and some Fletchers (kids laxative). She would take nothing to eat. Sunday I followed the BRAT diet, she took a banana and moved bowels twice. I thought she was doing better and sent her to daycare on Monday. She was fine (still scared to take food) but is eating. After bathtime Monday night she moved bowels twice in 1 hour both times it was only liquid. Is this normal? How long will it take to resolve itself? I have not given her anyother medicine and dont want too. She is still taking plenty of liquid and a lil scared to take food but she does eat. What do I do from here? Should she attend daycare tomorrow????

She may not have food poisoning but my son had the rota virus and it was horrible he had diarrhea so bad it was coming out his diaper and the smell was really fowel. Umm she may have caught that from daycare. So my best solution is take her to the Dr and find out what is. She may have got a virus from the daycare also. It is better to be safe than sorry. My son was dehydrated so bad he could have went into a comma because as much fluids as he was taken in it was coming out as well. Good luck

I would keep her at home and give her body a chance to really recup.
Is she running a low grade fever or lethargic? Call your peds dr. to ask about symptoms of the rota(sp?) virus. This can linger for a week or more, and cause severe dehydration, sometimes mimicing food poisoning.
Best bet is to call the doctor if it continues.

I think you should bring your kid to a doctor first before you take her to the daycare. just let her teacher know though... its better to see a doctor so that you will be given an advice on what medicine to take. we don't know what will happen if you dont check to a doctor. better see a doctor.

Just get through it. You will be fine! Sometimes when we get a virus this is the way our body deals w/ it. Bananas are supposed to help. Eat a couple of them.

No she should not go to daycare, she needs to go to the ped. office in the morning, something is wrong that they are not detecting & she may be contagious
