Yes, it is the same type of Love that Jesus, the Christ shown toward us. He laid down His life while we were yet sinners. He didn't have to but He did.
Jesus, the Christ is our example. We lay down our lives for our bretheren. When I say life I'm speaking of time, rights, comforts, things. We put this aside and bless when done wrong. Oh yes at first it will hurt the flesh but you do it anyhoo. And watch God pour you out a blessing.
When talked about ,we forgive and bless. When stolen from, we don't sue, we bless. When misused we pray for them and bless. This is unconditional love in action.
People are just that precious!

the mothers - parents love to the child (and the ideal is, to all children) is suppose to be unconditional, and often it trully is. unconditional meaning that u love the other person no matter what it does, if it pleases or disappoints u, not that u do not argue or get angry at it. in other relationships love cant and shouldnt be unconditional, for friends and lovers etc are there to be loved AND to cover needs (take and give) and thats the way it should be too. Or at least thats what i think.
ps. i mention the mothers love mainly cause the mothers love is suppose to be trully unconditional, while the father is suppose to expect things, in order to make the child a decent person. but this roles are often mixed and exchanged.

Yes we can. One good example of an unconditional love, is the love of a mother to her child.

As human beings we cannot be all things to all people at all times.

My answer is NO! We don't have the capability to show unconditional love to all people, and all forms of life at all times.

At least nobody that I've ever known has been capable of that.

No, I think that no matter how hard we try we put conditions on love, even if that condition is only "love me back". It's rare to find truly unconditional love.

Yes when we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to love others as God has loved us (John 15:12). The Holy Spirit has shed abroad God's love in our hearts (Rom 5:5). When we know and experience God's love we can love unconditionally which loving others the way God loves us (1 john 4:19). Based on our own ability we cannot but based on His ability we can.

Would be nice. But really I don't know. I don't think I can do it on my own. With God's help, yes, I can. It something we are not used to doing. I love one because of something that has happened. But not out of the blue. But I certainly don't hate people I don't know. I should actually ask God to give me a new heart. Thanks for asking the question. You've given me something to think about.
