If you look at front you would know if the plane is turning to the right or left even on a slighter turn. Is that true or just an illusion?

Yes you will feel it. This is because your balance sense will sense the turn and tell you so. So even looking straight ahead of you, you can feel the turn, even though you are sitting upright in the plane.
