My DR. said never put Vaseline in your nose. I get very dry sinuses. Which could lead to very bad nose bleeds. So he told me to use KY Jelly. I buy a generic version of it and it works better than Vaseline any day. Neosporin I don't know about.

No, neosporin is recommended for use when you get broken skin in your nose from constant sneezing, nasal drip or wiping. This will get rid of the bacteria that causes the sores you get from that. I've never heard of putting vaseline IN your nose. Sometimes people use it on the outside to protect skin from chafing in cold weather.

There is the possibility of it getting into your lower airway (lungs) and causing a really nasty pneumonia-better consult the doc.
