It was a good fight. I saw it live. It was the first time I watched boxing in a professional level. It was more exciting than watching it on TV. I just hope that it lasted a few more rounds. I was so impressed! A natural southpaw throwing right hooks. 4 to 5 combinations with speed and power! Morales was so confused he does not know what to cover. raised his guard up to cover both side of his face, and a solid body shot will hit him. Morales was 12 lbs over the limit 30 days ago. He tried to lose that weight and so afraid to pay .5 million every excess pound. You cant mess up your body chemistry like that especially if you are fighting Pacquiao's caliber. I was surprised when they both took off their robes that He was bigger and wider than Morales. Barrera was there watching the fight. Mid 2007? Juan Manuel Marquez? He needs to beat this guy. A draw is not good enough. Let's just wait and see...Oh by the way, Pacman was not 100% on that fight. He has temperature and a sore throat!

Pound-for-pound? This is a tough call. Yes, Mayweather is more technically savvy and a more complete fighter than Pacquiao. He is an excellent fighter and everyone knows that already, especially those who had the misfortune of facing him inside the ring. HIs last fight was a real clinic from start to finish, with the Pretty Boy simply outclassing his strong but slow opponent and as a result, the decision was never in doubt even from round 1. On the other hand, Pacquiao's last fight showed how much he has improved through the years, from a one-dimensional, power-punching lefty to a clever, shifty two-fisted bomber. And the scary thing is that he seems to be continuing to improve some more. There is no denying Mayweather's skill in the same way that the PacMan's power is already a given. But between the two, I would have to choose Pacquiao because of his ability to IMPROVE his game and complement his power with some slick in-ring moves. I was particularly impressed with the way he defended against a barrage of Morales' punches by leaning on the ropes, sliding quietly to his left and then, BOOM, unleashing a crunching left hook as he moved away from a stunned El Terrible. That was the move that put fear in Morales' eyes, for he just found out how much the PacMan has improved.. and it's a whole painful lot (which also says a lot about the talent and discipline of the Filipino icon). Apart from that, and from a spectator's point of view, which one do I really want to watch: an informative, deliberate boxing documentary or an edge-of-your-seat boxing suspense-thriller? Im gonna go with Pacquiao's suspense thriller, where every second in the ring counts and you absolutely have no idea when, where or how the fight's gonna end.

How many more excuses am i gonna have to read from Americans on this site not giving Manny the credit he deserves, to the first answer yes we have all watched Mayweather fight and he fought like a coward against a journeyman in his last fight. Manny breaks down and destroys a living legend in less than 3 rounds and all i can see is Americans trying to make excuses so that Manny doesnt get no credit. I dont want to read answers from Americans telling me how great that Mayweather is (which he isnt) give Manny his dues, i know you are a patriotic lot but come on do you Americans ever give credit to a fighter that wasnt born over there it is becoming a joke. And Im English, not Phillipino as you may think with a response like this but i am absolutely sick of this happening all the time.
The overriding factor in who is the best pound for pound in my mind is who i would pay to watch, I wouldnt even pay to watch Mayweather for all the skill and talent that man has got he fights like a girl, I would remortgage my house to watch Pacquiao he has got to be the most exciting fighter out there at the moment so for me the decision is easy Pacquiao is the best pound for pound in the world at the moment.
If Pacquiao was American you wouldnt even see Mayweathers name on this website.

Pacquiao deserves the credit.. He demolished Barrera, Marquez got a taste of the canvass, Larios didn't withstand the punches. Fairly, Pacquiao destroyed Morales in two straight fights (TKO) enough to earn the respect to the be the best pound-for-pound fighter without a doubt. If there's a another boxer or anyone who would dispute or question that, bring it on!!

I dont think so, if you really anylise this fight with morales, morales wasnt at top of shape. pacquiao needs an impresive win against valero or Barrera or Marquez to be called the best pound for pound
