hm... interesting first question, and it's in the "Languages"-category...
So that makes me look it up in a dictionary:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Life
...and find that Life has very many meanings... about 25 of them in this dictionary :) ... it's a condition, a time span, a particular aspect of existence, the totality of living beings, a force, something precious...
and that obviously makes it your choice as other people have already mentioned! ;)

My personal definition at this very moment:
Life is now.

Isn't it great to be alive?! I wish you a good life! :)

Life is a banquate, and everyone is invited. You don't have to show up, and maybe most don't. Sometimes, it is compared to a journey. But life's journey has many destinations, if you are lucky you can choose them. But unlike a vacation, where you take pictures so you can remember... when life is over, there is no use for pictures. Life is what you are living right now until it is over. Some people want to explore, some want experiences, some seek to understand who they are and what the universe is and contemplate time, space and its origens. Some people whant to dedicate themselves to humanity, to making money, to leaving a mark. Leaving a lasting mark in the world that lives on after you are gone is hard work. If you think about it, how many dead people can you name? Maybe you want people to remember something about you? Maybe you just want to enjoy your time. Even the most pleasurful experiences are just moments that dim away. We can work hard to have more pleasures, but then, after the pleasures are enjoyed we have to pay the price.
We live and we die, and we choose what we do (if we can) and then it is over. Perhaps then, it is death that gives life meaning, because without death we would not worry about time wasted. It is the need to make our time count. That is the meaning of life. Good luck!

I guess since we are all wandering around Earth wondering the same thing, my guess is the answer isn't going to reveal itself on Yahoo Answers :) However, since we are all taking a noble stab at this, I will give my take on it as well, although I don't know how much it will help.

Find your roots - your place with your Maker - that must be the meaning of live. How much more meaningful could life be?

There is no meaning to life in general.

Your own life can mean something to you though. Enjoy :)

It's a board game by Milton Bradley. It first came out in the 1960's. It's a bit like monopoly, but for kids, not so complicated.

I always assumed life was meaningless and cherished it anyway.
