You had better get checked by a doctor. Once you know what you're dealing with, please do add fiber slowly and increase it to where you can move your bowels. Also add magnesium to your diet as supplements 500mgs. 2x/day. Make sure to drink plenty of water. Dehydration is a cause of constipation. Blood and mucus could be food allergies or many other things. You need to be sure it isn't anything serious. Don't let it get worse. Get in and take care of it.

It seems to me that since your bowel movements are not frequent enough, the stools come out dry and smell due to the length of time they were there. It's pretty normal! As for the blood, it's most probably due to a tear near the rectum when the stool was trying to pass. But, I'm not sure about the mucus...anyway, don't they say that stools consist of undigested food, old cells, toxins AND mucus? However, you might want to clarify about the latter.

Lots of milky tea? I suffer from IBS so constipation can be a common factor, but obv being 21 is different from 3! I always try to eat food or drink stuff that will encourage it. There is no harm in trying some milky tea while you're waiting for NHS Direct to call you back.
