Everyone is different, so I recommend that you head on out to your local running store and ask them for a good recommendation. They'll take a look at your training patterns, your gait, and probably take a look at your feet to determine the best shoe for you.

I don't think there's a magical "best shoe". My best shoe isn't necessarily going to be your best shoe as our feet our different.

That's why I recommend going to the running store. You'll pay a little bit more, but you are also buying their exerpertise as well.

I've had good luck with Brooks Adrenalines and any high-end New Balance. Nike's were super comfortable but wound up trashing my knees... not sure why but I no longer wear them.

Good luck.

Asics make a great running shoe. I also hear that New Balance is very good, but I haven't had any experience with them.

Nike brand is my absolute favorite. They're comfortable and really work well with the way that I run.
