That might be something to say after you've been engaged in a conversation a bit and she "hasn't" smiled....then that would cause her to smile....which would then be a cute 'ice-breaker'.

But as an opening line...no.

But as others suggested....just normal conversation.

If it is actually someone on the 'street' that you are just meeting, maybe ask for directions ..."Excuse me, I've been around here before but I'm having probelms finding so&so store and I know it's around here somewhere." or if there's a restaurant near by asking...."Excuse me, do you know anything about that restaurant? Have you ever been there? How is their food?", etc.

Don't lie. Don't say stupid stuff you will regret later, if there is a later. Like don't say..."Excuse me, I'm new to this city and I'm lost." If you do end up hooking up....then you have to deal with the lie.

I know it's rough...so Good Luck and just be yourself.

No bullsh-it guy lines. They don't work.

No, that's lame.

Look at her clothes or hair and say something that is unique about them. For example, let's say she has open toed shoes and it's cold. Say, those are really nice shoes, but don't your toes get cold? If she says yes, offer to walk her to the coffee shop to warm her tootsies up. Or if her hair has a particular style, maybe some braids, comment that someone did a wonderful job on her braids and ask her who did them. Probably a friend or a sister, again, gives you a unique, non "standard" topic to talk about. Perhaps you have a "friend" who would like to get such braids, can you have her number, please?

The key is to focus on her and what is special about her. Women love to talk about themselves, you just need to give her an opening.

No. You should make her smile then when you see her smiling say you have a beautiful smile. Complements are key say them as you see them (like if she smiles for instance) Here's some stuff you may find useful:

ewww, creepy, no. talk about something relevant or something you know! if youre saying you guess she may have a nice smile and shes not smiling, youre obviously just bullshitting her. comment on the surroundings or complement something shes wearing, but only if you actually mean it.
