1:11 And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so. 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good. 1:13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.
Does this mean it's okay with God to smoke weed?I mean it says he saw it was good ,not that every plant was good EXCEPT weed.

Go ahead and smoke your weed after all your fellow man died protecting your freedom and the oil that Christ was anointed with was made primarily of marijuana oil as it is written in the book of Solomon in the original text hence they coined the word cannabis yes right in the good book .

God is saying that everything would be able to bare seed and reproduce according to it's own kind. For instance, a tree would be able to make other trees like it. A cat would reproduce a cat(not a dog) because a cat can reproduce only cats. People can make other people according to our own kind. That is what God is saying. Where on earth did you get it was OK to God that we smoke weed? Plants are good and God did say they were good. Plants feed us, clean the air, feed the animals, provide shelter for some animals, are very beautiful to look at. They were not intended to be smoked so that our brains shrink and we loose our mental functions!

Im having a difficult time imagining God approving as Adam and Eve took some weed, rolled it up in whatever kind of paper they could haev created, lit it on fire, and then inhaled. Mainly because this text does not even suggest it. The context indicates the "good" that God saw was in what he created. Not the weird things we do with his creation.

There are manyt great uses for that plant. Just like cocoa. Doesnt make all its uses good.

Should we eat chocolate or snort coke??

Should we use hemp for rope and oil or smoke weed?

Those choices are ultimately your decision. I have done lots of the snorting and smoking...but now free for 3 years. I dont think God would set me free of something he encourages.

Just my humble 2 cents

It is not, technically, a sin to smoke pot in moderation.
The problem with a Christian smoking pot is that it's considered "worldly." Now, I'm a Christian, and if a Christian says to me that they smoke pot, I see no issue with it.
HOWEVER, many non-Christians would see it as hypocritical, and Christians should be very careful of what they choose to do or not do.
I'm going to be one of those stereotypical Christians, and quote one little bit of scripture:
Romans 14:16
Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil.

That's the problem with pot. Too many consider it to be evil.

well, medical science is finding that marijuana is very beneficial indeed and for many things. so at least on this one thing science and the Bible agree. it's not surprising when a Fundy disagrees with science but it is rather strange that they disagree with the Bible, preferring to believe government propaganda instead.

Yes, everything that God made is good. But He gave it to us to use, not abuse; including the internet.

By that same logic their are poisness plants that are also "good"... He saw his creation and pronounced a benediction on it as being "good".

I think we can all read that for what is says, as it is pretty basic.
