Well, you really can't, but you can improve your recovery time. Get proper sleep, drink fluids. Meds help with the symptoms. Antibiotics do not get rid of viruses, so don't even try. You sound like you have some upper airway congestion, decongestants and nasal spray help. Make sure you only use nasal decongestants for a few days max! Good luck!

Go buy a ginger root, a lemon and honey. Slice the ginger very thin and take about half and inch of it and put it into three cups boiling water. Wash the lemon and slice it with the peel, then take of the whole lemon and toss it into the boiling ginger and water. Simmer until the lemon is soft. Drain off the liquid and add a teaspoon of honey. It's strong, spicy and it clears the head and helps the throat and lungs.

A common cold last a week if you do nothing to make it better.
If you try your best to get rid of it it'll last you 7 days.

Basically, there's not much you can do. Let it run its course. Drink lots of fluids, take a tylenol, maybe some nose drops to help you breathe, and lots of rest.

Just combat it as best you can, lots of vitamin high drinks and snacks, keep warm and take paracetamol to ease the pain. not sure about anything for itching ears i'm afraid.

A cold is a virus and it will have to run its course. You can get medication to treat your symptoms but nothing for the cold itself.

take chewy tabs with zinc like strepsils, gargle with luke warm water with adad lil salt and alum or alternatively pinch of baking soda. these are to soothe that pain. Remember to take one vitamin B complex tab everyday and don't forget to take a proper amount of vitamin C too.....but yes drinking a lot of orange juice helps to get rid of it.

maybe just take an adequate rest and eat a lot of healthy foods such as fruits and take enough amount of liquid like natural fruit juices... this might be helpful since this was done by my friend when she experienced the same...
