does anyone know how much lap-band surgery will cost?my insurance wont cover it so i was wanting to know a cash price.in the state of kentucky,and if you have had the lap-band plz tell me all about it .i am very interested in find out all i can.ty to all that answer.....and happy holidays everyone

If your doctor has warned you about morbid obesity, then it's best that you contact your insurance again cause technically speaking this is a life threatning situation. Consult your insurance agent and fight hard for your necessitities. Or contact your local health agency.
Although I dont know the pricing of these procedure, I can tell you that a lap band is not as effective as a gastric bypass surgery. the Lap band is placed in the stomach and can loosed after a while, and cause your stomach to go into it's regular size, while a gastric bypass, staples and redirects your stomach size and function.
