I am 19, she is 23. I am a driver, she is a waitress.

She is almost done with school, I am almost done with school. She plans to leave the job after school and so do I (Which will be Summer of 2007).

She is staying in-state.

Ive heard how dating co-workers can be bad...but in the case that we know that we neither will be here in under a year, is it bad to ask and see what happens?

We get along pretty great, we have never hung out outside of work yet (I've been there for 1.5 months). I think she may be interested...or maybe she just flirts with everyone.

Is age an issue?

Any other advice on this situation is appreciated!

The fact that she's over 21 and you're not can be a serious issue if she enjoys drinking on her dates. That said don't be afraid to give things a shot and see what happens... the worst case scenerio is she says no... second worst is you have a bad date... third worst is you have fun and never see each other again... seems like none of the bad things are really that bad. Good luck!

You sound like you could take a rejection in stride if it happened. Go ahead and ask her. No harm in asking.
