That will be a decision between you and your bride. There is no set number. Generally the bride decides how many bridesmaids she wants ... that will determine how many grooms’ men ... one for each bridesmaid

Usually 3 and the best man, 3 brides maids and the matron of honor. But today people are having less and much more. So it depends on how elaborate of a wedding your having and how many friends (or) family you want in it. Just remember you don't want all your guest in the wedding party. Good Luck.

There is no "rule" on how many of each you have to have. I have done weddings where there were more bridesmaids than groomsmen and more groomsmen than bridesmaids.
I have also had a few couples who decided to have one female on the groom's side and one male on the bride's side. The female wore a black dress, to match the tuxedos, with a sash that matched the groomsman's ties and vests. The male wore a black tux with a tie and vest that matched the bridesmaid's dresses...in order for this one to really work, the groomsmen and bridesmaids cannot wear matching colors. If they do, then the male on the bride's side won't stand out.
I have had couples with as few as 3 attendants to as many as 10...it depends on the couple's tastes and who they really want to participate.

A traditional wedding has one best man and one maid of honour and then one groom's man and one brides maid. But honestly you can have as many or few as you wish.

As a wedding planner I must tell you that there is no set #. You can have 1 or 2 a best man and a groomsman or just one or however many your heart desires. The numbers can be even ( so the girls can be escorted by the guys) or you can have them walk down by themselves or you can have an odd # where two guys walk one lady down ( one on each side). It is solely up to you and your mate.

That is completely and totally up to you and your bride. The only thing to be sure of is that you have the same number on each side. Anything else depends on the two of you and how many people you want to involve.

As many as you want. The number doesn't have to be even either. The ladies could always walk down the isle by themselves while the guys stand up by you (if the number is uneven this is an option.) There is no set number. Congrats.

I have been to many weddings, of all sizes.. most formal weddings have 6 of each...... matron of honor, maid of honor, and then 4 maids..... but, for a nice traditional wedding I would say 3 of each..... plus your ring barer and flower girl........ God bless

hiya, i recently have been given married and we had an exceedingly tradtional scottish wedding ceremony, i'm scottish and my hubby is irish/scottish and he and his irish groomsmen all wore kilts (it substitute right into a 1st for the irish boys lol) generally i could say that real scots circulate commando,,,, yet on condition that this might nicely be a marriage and there are possibly to be all age tiers (young ones and pensioners - wi dodgy tickers lol) approximately and as you're saying countless alcohol flowing, i could err on the side of warning and positioned on boxers,,,,,, our scottish boys wore saltire boxers and the irish wore tri shade boxers,,,,, so possibly you should blend the scottish custom inclusive of your very own nationality??? Your precise to be careful as our ultimate guy (who's scottish) had went to his room to take his boxers off after the ceremony as he had to be real scottish - just to alter his ideas on the final minute, boy he substitute into happy he did, as as quickly as he got here back downstairs to the ceilidh, lots of the ladies desperate to confirm out if he substitute right into a real scotsman and 'weeked' (lifted) his kilt up for all to be certain what substitute into below, exposing to fully all and sundry lol,,,,, i could say do in spite of your mushy with, and luxuriate interior the marriage, your in for a real take care of, the scottish way :-)

find out how many witnesses you are legally required to have (usually only 2) & keep it to that number- MUCH SIMPLER that way ;- & less expensive; easier to decide on outfits;few attendant gifts to buy; no disagreements between attendants
but generally you can have as many as you both want
