we are getting a mini daschund and she'll be 8 weeks old. we have a double story house so should we put little child proof gate things on the stairs so she doesnt fall down them???

We have daschunds and they are little darling good luck btw but these dogs do tend to have back problems so it would be a good idea to invest in one of the child gates specially since it is a mini her little legs might not be able to strech and she may tumble down and if you are planing to let her upstairs it would be a good idea to carry her as much as possible up them so you wont have to deal with her little back

that would probably be wise. especially with a daschund, you want them to jump on stairs and furniture as little as possible because the jumping can hurt their backs.

Use an old side of a crib, wood or part of a baby play pin.

We have one, but only too keep our puppy from going downstairs.
