I begin having rectal bleeding after a bowel movement sinse 2002..(when i was 17 yrs old)...I've never paid attention to the problem because I don't have any other symptoms... In other words, everything seems normal to me. But most of the time the blood starts leaking (i'm sorry 4 the details)...I don't really want to go to a doctor because it is too stressful...plus I already went 'n the only thing he said was to buy a fiber supplement...I don't really know what the causes of my rectal bleeding are, especially since I been having this problem for years now....

Go to a gastroenterologist ASAP. This is not something to fool around with, seriously.

Well in South Park, there was a similar problem.

Stan: I have it! I have the question. Now you have to answer me once and for all! How come I haven't gotten my period yet?!
God: My child, you are a boy. Boys do not get periods. That is only for girls. You're friends were bleeding a little bit out of their asses due to an acute colon infection, and you're friend Kyle simply lied about it.
Kyle: Hey, how'd he know that?!
God: You will hit puberty when the time is right, but you will never have a period because you are a man with titties.

...However, you are a girl, so I'd suggest going to the doctor again.

You need to see a different doc for a thorough work up. It is probably just hemorrhoids but none the less you need to get this worked up. If you do suffer from consitpation then be sure to increase your fiber and fluid intake and use a fiber supplement along with a stool softener until you get things under control. Get the rectal bleeding checked out though. Cancer doesn't care how old you are so get checked please.

If the color of the blood is bright red, then it could be from internal/external hemorhoids. If dark or black then more serious problem. If blood is in your stool, also an indicator of more serious issue. Do you strain when having a bowel movement? Or suffer from constipation? If so, use drink a couple of tablespoons of mineral oil every day for a couple days. That should help out. You should see a different doctor. This could be serious. Do not wait.

Why did you let this go on for this long? I think you need to get a second opinion. Rectal bleeding is NOT normal if it is leaking

I used to suffer with the same affliction .... though I never did anything about it after it continued for a few years I was concerned it may be bowel cancer .... I then started eating more Muesli type breakfast cereals and haven't had any problems for years...
So the fibre thing could be a good pointer?

This sounds similar to something that my girlfriend has; It's been happening to her for a while now, too. And her doctor told her something similar to what yours said, so she went and got a second opinion. She scheduled an appointment with a doctor that specializes in stuff like this to get a diagnosis. I'd suggest that you ask your doc for a referral to someone like that.

even though it may be stressful, i don't think there's much to do besides contacting a doctor, or maybe buying a fiber supplement like the other one said. have you tried that? i hope all clears up!

btw, my ex boyfriend used to bleed when he took a number two all the time because he was lactose intolerant. if you're lactose intolerant maybe that's why?

I am not a doctor but this seems to be something serious. Never ignore problems because they can grow into bigger problems. I would see another doctor and tell her everything that is happening.

This is not good. I'm not a doctor, but I would definitely get a colonoscopy so that you can rule out that it's nothing serious. If a doctor tells you that you don't need it because you're too young - find someone who will do it.

Why are you putting off a possible serious danger to your health just because it seems stressful to you in the first place? Anyways you gotta go to a doctor specialising in these areas and they will tell you what it is.
