Every one should go to Church, Mosque Mandir or Gurudawara. The reason is simple. When you go to a place of worship there you will find all worshipers are Saints of God for that particular time spent in the Church.Every one is connected by a thin chord from their Crown Chakras to GOD even Atheists are. When you go into a congregation this chord becomes thicker and you are joined to God even more. You can therefore be connected to your maker in a unique way but staying at home you do not get that benefit. If you want to check what I am saying check with any body practicing Pranic healing

I love to go to my church!
I work nights and have to get up at 6am. on Sunday. It's hard to do but when I get there it's great! The people are awesome. There are over 8,000 people in my parish. They are the most kind and loving people I have ever met.
The prayers and music touch my heart.
The homily's are NEVER boring. In fact, they are so good, people from all over request them. Now we have someone who tapes them. Too bad those homily's are so short!
We have over 25 ministries that people can volunteer their time-or not.
The teen programs are so good that teens from other religions come to join.
All this is called "community" or "church". It's not the building, but the people who make up a church.
If I stayed home I wouldn't be able to share what I have to offer.
If I stayed home I would miss what everyone else had to offer.

The only reason I see to go to church is for the social connections. Being an atheist, I have never gone to church in my life. However, sometimes, I find myself wanting to go to church because so many of my friends go and meet new people. A church is a gathering of people that are usually friendly, so it's great for making friends and connections.
If not for that reason, then just stay home, and save yourself the gas money.

First of all..You have to answer the question "Do I beleive in God"
If so..A church is just a place where people meet, to show homage to god in public.
But God is no more there, then in your bedroom, or on the hill overlooking the valley on a sunny morning,
If I wanted to experience the feeling of being close to god. I would pick a place that fits my ideal of where god would be, and in an atmosphere of the beauty of creation. As god is everywhere, do you get satisfaction of showing other people , that you are one of the flock, or do you want to feel you are one with god.
Find your own place, that is right for you to get the best feeling about your beleifs. God is there...He is not passing the collection plate

It depends on which is the better place you think you could be much nearer to your God or the things you believe is more important to you.
Going to church is a way to join others in their callings for thanks or petitions quite similar to a labor union's request for the best intention of the many or the congregation.
Staying at home is better place for your self examination and total reflections to find your peace. Both serves to what is needed at a time.

If the concept of church was bad do you think God would have had Paul ago all around the known world setting up churches?
Read the first couple chapters of Acts and the letters of pauls, Corinthians, Ephsians, Collosians, Hebrews. these were all written to churches.

Christians do not have to go to church to worship God, but one should gather with fellow believers (be it at church or at home).

church is fine for some, but is detrimental for others. if you prefer one or the other, do so. many christians go to church just to be seen, others go to learn, some go just to get out of the house. it isn't that church is important, but it is what you think is important.if you decide to atrtend one fine, if you don.t that's fine too. remember, a church is just a building, not a way to live.

Stay home. If you go to church you will only be exposed to religious lies. You will be taught that the soul is immortal, although the Bible says "the soul that is sinning, it itself will die." (Ez. 18:4) You will learn the lie that God torments sinners in a burning hell forever. You will be asked to give money to pay for the minister's services every time the plate is passed, although Jesus said: "You received free, give free." (Matt. 10:8) You may be in the presence of a preacher who has stolen a title from God, like "Holy Father" or "Reverend." You may be in a church that is filled with idols, which goes against 1 John 5:21: "...guard yourselves from idols."
You'd be better off staying home than wasting your time going to church and being exposed to lies.

I'm not a Christian....but in reference to all people of all faiths...I would say that neither is better.
There is a time in each life, when church is healing and there is a time when home is healing. Do whatever you feel is right for you. There should be no strict rule about that in my opinion.
