I want to play some football with friends on Sunday (5 days away). Should I hold off on the tat or just cover it up when I play?

I agree with Alex the Girl-- you should wait until it's finished scabbing over. If you had a chunk ripped off, it will leave a faded blotch and you'll have to get it retouched.

When it is done scabbing. [5 days should be enough time for all the scabbing to cease].

You don't want to rip off a big chunk then have to go in a get it re-done.

If it is going to be exposed to the sun make sure you put sun screen on it... you don't want it to fade.

you don't have to wait to play sports, unless you were going to go swimming, then i'd hold off til it's healed. just keep it covered and have fun.

well unless your tattoo is on the bottom of your foot or something, i say cover it up and play.
