It sounds like Alopecia Areata. Is it round patches? It is usually stress related and usually does grow back. Google it and you'll find more info.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. I too suffered from hair loss, but I am a male and it's a little more social acceptable for me to be bald. With that said, I underwent a Bosley Hair Restoration Surgery back in July and couldn't be much happier with the results. Its only been 5 months and the results are already visible. I am not sure that a transplantation is appropriate for your situation but you might consider it to replace the hair you have already lost. However, be sure to identify the cause of your hair loss, because you wouldn't want your transplanted hair to fall out as well.

Since I received my Bosley procedure I have kept a blog documenting the whole experience. Check it out at BattleAgainstBald.com. In addition to picture and video of my results, I provide a wealth of information on hair loss and methods for correcting it.

Best of luck to you in your battle!

Go to a nutritionist. You may have alopecia arriata...could be misspelled. Stress is the number one reason for rapid hair loss. Medication is #2. A nutrionist can help you in finding out what is causing your loss.

Also...go to a natural health food store and get some 100% pure essential oils such as lavendula officianalis ( the only medicinal lavender oil) ..could be misspelled also...lol! There are several oils that can help calm the nerves and help you sleep and revitalize yourself. Emotions ...can have a huge effect on your hair. Get healthy mentally and physically and then take really good care of yourself....cause...no one else will take good care of you as good as you can. Took me a long time to realize that. It's a life lesson. Good luck and God bless.

Hair loss or baldness is caused mainly due to the lack of Vitamin B supplements. Vitamin B5 contains pantothenic acid and B3 (niacin that is vital for hair growth). B6 is equally important to the body, as it contains the nutrients of zinc, sulfur, magnesium and biotin.

An interesting fact about Vitamin B: Certain experiments were conducted with rats and they were fed with food that lacked magnesium supplements. It was found that they lost their hair in bunches and when they were provided with a low biotin diet they turned hairless. But to the surprise of all, their hair returned when they were fed with food rich in Vitamin B. Similar studies were conducted on men and it was found that Vitamin B enriches the quality of hair. The body also requires Vitamin A. Fatty acids such as primrose oil, flaxseed oil or salmon oil need to be consumed for enhancing hair growth.

Vitamin E is meant for stimulating the oxygen intake in the body and improves the blood circulation. If there is proper blood circulation, hair growth is enhanced. Vitamin C assists the normal functioning of capillaries that carries the blood to the scalp. Even zinc is an important supplement, which should be consumed as it assists hair growth.

Biotin is necessary for hair growth. There are many sources of biotin such as brewer's yeast, brown rice, bulgur, green peas, lentils, oats, soybeans, sunflower seeds, and walnuts. It is present in some shampoos, so you can use shampoos, which contain biotin. It is advised to consult a physician before taking any vitamins or medications for hair growth.

I am so sorry. I hope you can get this resolved. Here are a few possibilities for help... Nioxin products (beauty supply store) this line has shampoos, pills, and other products designed to help prevent hair loss. When Jennifer Anniston had hair loss from extensions, she used Phyto Pills to help regrow her hair, and they totally worked for her. You can find Phyto Pills at Nordstroms or online. Eating healthy, exercising, and/or lots of sleep is helpful in hair care as well as drinking lots of water. I dont know if your on any medications, but often times, certain medicines can make your hair fall out. I hope some of this was helful to you. Good Luck!
