No I have not. What I have noticed is that a lot of people seem to resent when men and women of God are well off or living comfortably preaching the Word of God. If there is anyone in this world who should live comfortably it is those you carry the Word of God. I mean no one seems to mind when stars spend hundreds of dolllars on wine, drugs and needless things(Money obtain through the sale of records and their hard working dollars thru concerts and the like). But the minute that God's people want funds to further the Kingdom of God and to actually feed the hungry or clothe the poor, up pops the red flag. Let's just think about that. May God Bless

Some churches generally do, but I might point out with the heating, and electricity etc etc, and paying the organist (if there is one) A church on average costs around £1000 a week to run, some churches do pocket extra money yes, other churches are very generous, and some have a treasury, and a treasurer so that they can allocate money to different causes. Thats what mine does, and we give a lot out to charities, and homeless n stuff. Also, how exactly do you propose these homeless people could be housed....the church don't make enough money to build houses, and there certainly aren't enough to go around....

In India the temples used to feed poor people free out of the hundi collections and other offerings. Only after India has become independent the temples have been taken over by government and they have stopped feeding the poor.
You are thinking right

Money is the ticket to every sin in the book, I don't want that to hold me back from God. You should worry about your relationship with God and making it to heaven before you worry about how the church is using your money. Trust me God hates money if anything. Jesus flipped out one time when he went to the synagogue and men started using it for a market instead of for worship. That was the only time He ever even got mad. And trust me he had a hard life.

not all preachers are just looking for money. it's just that the ones that do make all look bad. in anything, corruption is possible. i do think that people should research before giving offerings. a GQ preacher may not have best interest at heart. however, there are church organizations who do help the poor.

It is expensive to keep a show like that on the air. And yes some times churches don't use their funds properly. That is why you should look into the church you spend you money and time in.

There are many "preachers" who are well paid and dripping in gold and material goods. But look carefully there are religions out there that have "preachers" who are paid nothing and infact have a full time job too!

That is very good point, there are many horrible things that have been done supposedly in the name Christ. What better propaganda to make people think it's all a fraud.
If you think about it, if the bible is true then
1. Wouldn't that be one of the best ways for Satan to make people think Christ is false.
2. If God gave us freewill then he wouldn't stop people from doing bad things in his name.So in reality it really says nothing about the validity of Christ.

yes, if they are filling their own pockets they will be judged for it. It makes me sick to think some or many do this on TV. A certain amount is needed to run cameras and edit film, and so on, but if the minister lives like royalty it is not right.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a life time. Churches thrive by tithes and offerings to reach the lost and hungry. People give their money to keep the drug lords, porn, etc. thriving, what's wrong with supporting your particular moral cause? Nothing.
