.It's an interesting concept. Judas, like the rest of us had free will to chose what to do. The Bible says that Satan entered his heart and caused him to betray Jesus. Jesus, being God, and omniscient, knew before-hand that Judas would betray Him, and knew that Judas would fulfill prophecy.

As for Judas going to Hell? Like all of, Judas was a sinner and deserved Hell. If he repented for what he did before he killed himself, that Jesus would have been faithful to forgive him.

I just want to say something to CEM. It wasn't Paradise that had two parts, but Hades. The Paradise section was where the Old Testament believers went before the Cross. The time between Jesus' Crucifixion and His Resurrection, He went to Paradise, and brought all the saints to Heaven. Hades is where all un-rependent sinners going awaiting Judgment and Hell.

As to whether Judas went to hell for betraying Jesus, I think this is pretty clear:

Matt 26:24 "The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born."

As to whether Jesus told Judas to betray Him:

John 13:2 The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus.

...So it wasn't Jesus who suggested it but satan.

Hope this clarifies things for you...

Absolutely, Judas is going to hell for betraying Jesus in exchange for the earned money.
Judas just had the tendency to betray The Son of God. He`s blinded with money and connections to the authorities and the pride that he`s the only professional witness to fully identify Jesus well.
This Judas betrayal tendencies will be used as an opportunity (in the grand design of saving the world) to claim God`s victory in introducing Christ death, then RESSURRECTONS...which will become our...Basic Faith of all (the presence of)...LIFE after DEATH...just to prove to everybody that...we have a SPIRIT (all of us) because Jesus now is in human form.
During the last supper, (though Judas already had a grand plan of earning much money) thru Jesus betrayal, but at certain point in time, the angels prod him to do it now to fulfill the prophesy that now is the hour to do Judas plan and consequences unfold.
...it is never God`s plan to tell somebody to betray Jesus...
God`s plan is merely: preach, teach, introduce the truth of the covenant, to modify wrong belief & interpretations of the covenant, and for Jesus to live the covenant Himself.
...but the people plots Jesus death out of jealousy...so, the Father turn the death from crucifixion into a very important proof of FAITH...life after death. (everybody will resurrect to face judgement)...
so, now, how about making good of your spirit that it will survive into heavenly situations...than burning fire in ...H E L L !!!!!!!!

There is no gospel of Judas....... damn i'm tired. Dude Judas is going to be in hell, at the final judgment, just like all the other sinners that don't follow Jesus.

I have often thought about this myself. Judas did what he had to do. If not him then someone else. People had parts to play back then for things to come to pass.

No I do not think Judas went to hell.

Jesus didn't tell Judas to betray Him. Judas had free will just like the rest of us. He chose to betray Jesus.

well, thats what it said in the Judas gospel right? Jesus told him that his dream was his destiny. SO Everybody takes part on this right. But One thing is for surel. Because of Jesus- we have all been seen equally deserving to enter the kingdom of God. Befpre it was only if you were truly a perfect good being. Now sins are forgiven for thos who believe.

Judas went to hell because he regretted it and committed suicide. What he should have done, was ask God's forgiveness, and continued spreading the gospel. Jesus would have forgiven him because he repented.

Judas went to Paradise after he was murdered by the Kenites.
Just like Peter, Judas repented and returned the silver he was paid. He then was taken by the Kenites and hung. Then to be sure, the Kenites opened him up from his throat to his pubic bone where his insides spewed out.

We all go to Paradise when we die. Remember, Paradise has two sides to it separated by a huge gulf.<><
