are all maltease terriers nutz? i was about to take my sisters dog for a walk the otha day and she bolted out the front door and started barking at people who walked past. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this behaviour?

my baby loves to guard the house..we just say we can't find the "off" button on her voice....it's just a trait of the breed as is being happy and sweet. I wouldn't trade mine for the world.....

Maltese are a member of the Toy group, not Terriers.

scruffy is not nutz and she bolted out the door because she was excited of going on the walk.

dont open the door until she is on her leash. make her sit before you put the leash on or even open the door. allowing her outside is rewarding her, she doesnt get rewarded until she doesnt something good. also, enroll in training courses now!

All small dogs think they are rottweilers. They never get over it.
