There are many good hotels in Bangkok that has very reasonable pricing. There is really no particular best hotel. Depending on the location, I would recommend different hotels.
On Sukhumvit Road, recommended hotels for a good price would be Grand Mercure Park Avenue Bangkok, Novotel Lotus, Bel-Aire Princess and Ambassador Bangkok Hotel.
On Silom and Sathorn Road, Shangri-La Hotel, Holiday Inn Silom, Dusit Thani are amazing hotels.
Other amazing hotels at cheap price are Baiyoke Suite Hotel and Indra Hotel. These hotels are located at wholesale Patunam Shopping Centre.

There are so many nice hotels, but I think U would focus hotels that locate beside the Chaopraya River ... any river-side hotels... U you will be impressed with night scene of reflections from the river.
