My girlfriend was recently out for her friend's wedding shower and they left a blowup doll in the car while they went into a resturaunt to eat. Well some lady with a kid saw it and she called 911. The cop showed up and interrupted her wedding shower and made them come out to the parking lot. Well this lady went bezerk and was like "You've emotionally damaged my child (the kid was 11)!"
Well the cop procedded to chew this lady out and say "You called 911 over this?!" I got a kindnapped child out there somewhere and you call and get me pulled off of that!!"
Does anyone have other stupid 911 calls that they have heard of out there?

I think I can beat them all! I have been a police officer for over 11 years and have responded to lots of stupid 911 calls, but here are two of my favorites.

Several years ago there was a particularly nasty dispute between neighbors in the town where I work. A dog belonging to one of the neighbors got out of the yard and pooped on a rock near the mailbox of teh other neighbor. You guessed it! That neighbor called '911' and reported that the neighbor had trained his dog to go out of the yard and poop on the rock.

Another person called '911' to report the heinous "crime" of "my neighbors tree leaves are falling over the fence and into my pool." He called '911' to report that! I responded to that call and asked him if he had talked to his neighbor and addressed the falling leaf concern. His response - That's not my job, that's your job!

We'll see if someone beats those!

We get stupid calls EVERY DAY.
let's see .. stupidest ... male calls for an ambulance because his (you know what) is stuck in a bottle (OUCH,, mute button, laugh really hard).
Lady calls 911 ... because cars are parked in the STREET ... hello, its a public street!
People call everyday because "the button says SOS" DUH!
or, because their phones are blocked! (Pay the bill?)

i could go on and on ..

-------------
Calling 911 because you have a long distance block is still not a reason to call 911.
Technically, it 911 abuse-- a class B misdemeanor, and arrestable offense in the state of Texas.
Never a dull moment in 911

stupid concept. Then people won't call 911 in the event that they see an twist of destiny. Who the hell needs to bypass to court docket for doing stable and could shield themselves. we've those issues observed as jobs and we gained't have the money for to omit an afternoon of artwork for something so dumb. The they must have courts open 24 hours an afternoon to handle each and each caller that's much greater costly.

There was the lady that was reported on news/talk radio, with audio recordings. She called 911, because the fast food burger place was not providing her with what she felt should be proper service/product.

Yeah! thats just wrong! But I have a problem! I have a long distance block on my phone and my local police department is long distance from my house! The only way I can call them is to use 911 or call the state police.

I heard about someone calling 911 because of a clogged toilet. Which is ridiculous...but then I heard it was someone at an assisted living home, so I felt bad then, and wept.

actully people think that on-duty persons are on duty for them only and many times they behave like children of duty officers.
