Only my mother and holy people are allowed to pray for me! (And I can feel it when they do!) I can feel it when the opposite happens as well. Like I can tell when others are praying for my soul because I'm an evil Catholic, and they want my conversion. No, sister, I'm lying. I can't really tell, but when I'm having a bad day, I have to blame someone!
(Gracious lady, I'm a bundle of contradictions, a gem with many facets!) I will live out my life until the end, whether people intervene on my behalf before God or not, I would like to think I'm that important to others, but the reality is, nobody really knows me. In my group of friends, I pray for them without their permission, and I wonder if they pray for me. We've never talked of it. Within my family, yes. If someone asks, it is there (sometimes sloppily said!) On this board...? I do not know. What would be a good prayer for the varied people here? That the blind see and the deaf hear? That the lame walk and the sinner repent? That faith is planted and grows? Perhaps, only, that God has mercy on us all.

I think many times we have a misunderstanding about prayer. On the one hand we are told in scripture that we can come before the throne of God with boldness. We are told the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

But we also need to understand that many times we simply don't know exactly what we need. And God very well may not give us everything we THINK we need if it does not fit within His plan or if He knows it will be destructive to us.

Rom 8:26-27
6 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.
NIV

We really don't have to worry as to whether someone else will pray the wrong thing for us. That's where the Holy Spirit comes in. He knows what we need and He will act in intercession for us and take it to the Father on our behalf.

I can't control what others pray for me about. I only ask for prayers for something righteous though. Otherwise, no one knows I need to be prayed for. If they do pray something wrong for me, then I pray that God will do His will and they will see the error of their ways.

No because not everyone can pray for you.. There are spirits in people and not everyone can lay hands on you a pray. The wrong spirit can come upon you.

We don't always know what we should ask for,and it isn't the person praying thats going to answer the prayer.I will take all the prayers I can get so long as there given in the name of Jesus.

I don't see how I can have any control on what someone else
prays for that's a private issue. On the issue of wrong prayer
I believe that who ever is hearing those prayer is a real smart
cookie and can determine what's a good prayer to answer or not.

Since most people think I'm either a heretic or a witch and that I'm going to hell I suppose there is little I can do to dissuade them. In that sense - yes - I 'let' them pray for me.
You see personally I think anyone praying to any God for my sake is doing something against my beliefs - since I believe that we should not 'worship' any Gods... merely offer them respect and thanks when it is appropriate. To me prayer or worship are in my way of thinking a debasement of the divine spark within each of us and therefore almost a kind of "blasphemy".

Of course not. Being a Christian, why would I let someone of another faith pray for me? We don't even worship the same God.
