I am a newly convert of Christianity. So is it Jesus, I need to follow? Again, I recently have accepted him has my personal savior. I just have questions of those who worship other sources of god such as, Allah, Buddah, etc. Are they going to hell? Who's to say? I mean, for those people with good hearts, philantropy and altruism, humanity, perform cleansing meditations and harespect for this earth at the fore front everyting they do. Will they go to hell if they don't accept Jesus? I want to cry this hurts so bad.. The not knowing ya know? I am really trying to find ansers. We just started going to a Christian church and am moved every time. But when they say Jesus is the only way, or you go to hell, it scares me and makes me feel guilty when I sometimes feel my worship is to God in general. If others who follow different faiths continue, will they go to hell? Then others talk of reincarnation, and past lives, does Jesus promote that way of thinking?? The guilt of not knowing.. thanks..

Just live your life and be a good person ~ when you spend all your time worrying about that ~ you're wasting time on pointless things that you will never know.

Hi, what you are asking is a tough question to answer. I don't pretend to be highly knowledgeable in any religious context, but let me try anyway.

I know that many Christians are going to slam me out there but here goes.

Jesus is the bridge or link that God gave to us so that he could reach down from heaven and bring us salvation. He is the ultimate sacrifice that allows us all to be forgiven of our sins. The question then is, what about the others? The Buddhists, the Shinto, the Hindus, the Muslims??

Well, Jesus came down from heaven to die for ALL of us. Not just the Jewish. He came and took away sin for ALL. That being said, the way to God is through Jesus. According to some of my more vocal Christian friends, that means that you must be baptisted and must believe that Jesus is your saviour and that there is NO other way to reach heaven. Being a catholic and being the pain in the **** that I am, I always tell them that they are wrong. The others can go to heaven as well. These same people who do good, who are kind to others, who are generally what good Christians SHOULD be have already found Christ in their hearts. They are doing to their neighbours as what Christ would have done in a similar situation. In this respect, they already respect God and his commandments. In any case, Catholics also believe that there is purgatory, a place or state where souls who bound for heaven, but need to be 'cleansed' or made clean for transgressions against God. This is not permanent damnation like in Hell. This is where I believe the good people of other religions will go for a short while before they enter the Gates of Heaven.

Reincarnation is not preached in Christianity. We believe in resurrection. Reincarnation means being born again, possibly in another form. Resurrection means that you rise from a state of death into new life.

Anyhow, i hope that this helps you a little. Feel free to email me if you think that I can help you any more.

I am a Christian and believe in the Holy Trinity.

I also readily acknowledge that many passages of the Old Testament describe God as a demanding, jealous, vengeful, and irascible tyrant and micromanager, quick to find fault and punish, and slow to forgive.

I further readily acknowledge that many passages of the New Testament describe God as a loving, forgiving, indulgent Father who wishes the best for His children, and is slow to find fault and punish and quick to forgive.

I don't know, and I don't believe anyone else does either, which portrait of God is more accurate. But I must say with all due respect that I find it very difficult to believe that a God who resembles the one described in the Old Testament would be worshipped by anyone for any reason other than fear, which I think is a very poor basis for a relationship between humanity and the Almighty of a type that I could conceive that God would want or, for that matter, that I could conceive that I would want.

You have many questions in your question.
The first thing to understand is that "Who is God?" and "Whos is Hazrat Essa Alehisalam (Jesus)?". The God is one and the only one, "The All Mighty ALLAH", Who created all of the universe and every thing (living & non living) in this universe and He is present every where, can see and listen every one at a time, and can fulfil all our requirements at a time, as we observe in our daily life that we all eating, drinking, listening, watching, sleeping, walking etc. etc. at a time.
The Hazrat Essa Alehisalam (Jesus) is human being and secondly The prophet from The All Mighty ALLAH and He was Muslim.
Now you tell me who created human being, angels, devils etc.. The All Mighty ALLAH or human being (or Jesus), definitely The All Mighty ALLAH, because it is mentioned in Holy Quran very clearly that which meaning is "The All Mighty ALLAH neither father nor son of any one" and all human being have their respective father and mother. It means The All Mighty ALLAH is the Creator of all human being including Hazrat Essa Alehisalam (Jesus).
Now you try to think over it that "what we were?", just a drop of dirty water (i-e money). Who converted this drop in to human being? It is not done automatically but by the power of All Mighty ALLAH because no one can do this.
Who made this earth and sky? The All Mighty ALLAH or the human being? A big sky is standing up without any column since its birth and we experience in our daily life that we can not lift or hang or hold any roof without any column. It means that the power of The All Mighty ALLAH is holding up this sky not human being (including Jesus).
Who made sun, moon, stars which are far away from us? Who made the Seas and rivers? Who bringing out fruits and vegetables from the land? How is all happening? By the power of The All Mighty ALLAH or by human being? Definitely this all happeneing by the power of The All Mighty ALLAH.
If you go and think more and more all about of the universe you will be finding out your answers.
Now it is very clear that The All Mighty ALLAH is the Creator of this universe and all systems runing in this universe by the power of The All Mighty ALLAH. Now you tell me "Who is to be worshiped?", The All Mighty ALLAH or human being. Definitely The ALL Mighty ALLAH. No doubt about it.
Now you want to know that "Will those people go to hell, if they don't accept Hazrat Essa Alehisalam (Jesus)?" Answer is this Hazrat Essa Alehisalam (Jesus) is a human being and prophet of Islam from The All Mighty ALLAH. We just have to accept him as a Prophet from The All Mighty ALLAH.
Heaven and Hell are in the hand of The All Mighty ALLAH, if we don't accept The All Mighty ALLAH then we'll go to hell, if we do accept The All Mighty ALLAH then we'll Insha ALLAH go to Heaven. So just try to worship The All Mighty ALLAH not Hazrat Essa Alehisalam (Jesus).
I want to tell you one more thing that Hazrat Essa Alehisalam (Jesus) is alive. The All Mighty ALLAH has lifted him upto the skies and He will come back again in this world as a follower of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him), but not as a prophet. He will rule in this world for 40 years with peace and will marry also.
So don't scare and feel guilty to worship to The All Mighty ALLAH (God) and do accept Hazrat Essa Alehisalam (Jesus) as a Prophet from The All Mighty ALLAH. This concept will lead you a right way.

Welcome to the family of Christ!

I hope that I am able to help you with your questions. The God of the Bible made a plan of redemption for all who call on His name. Because of our sin, He used the time of the Old Testament to demonstrate His holiness and perfection to mankind. This was to show us that we always fall short of His holy requirements, and that we need a Savior.

This Savior is Jesus Christ, whom you have received into your life. Jesus is God in the flesh. He is called "Immanuel" (or Emmanuel) which means "God with us." We worship God the Father, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

All other "gods" cannot save you from the penalty of sin. Mankind has a common enemy whose name is Satan. It is Satan's desire to bring with him as many people made in God's image to Hell as he can. This is why there are false religions and cults. If Satan can blind people to the Truth through philosophy or religion, he thinks he can win.

But make no mistake, as Peter says in Acts 4:12, "There is no salvation by anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved." That means exactly what it says. Jesus said of Himself, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

There is only one way to God, not several. Jesus is it. There is no other Gospel, except the one that is preached in the New Testament. No other religious texts equal the authority of the Holy Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments. If there was any other way, then Jesus died for nothing.

There is no such thing as past lives, reincarnation, etc. This is another hollow philosophy based on works. The writer to the Hebrews tells us clearly, "Indeed, just as people are appointed to die once and after that to be judged..." (Hebrews 9:27) Once judged, there is no return to the earth to live out another life.

Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, and any other "ism," do not offer salvation. This is why Jesus commanded us "Therefore, as you go, disciple all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and every day until the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20) We are called to share the faith with others, so that they don't end up condemned to an eternity of torment.

I recommend that you avail yourself of some solid Bible Study resources, to help you grow in your new-found faith. There are several excellent ones such as "Growing in Christ" by the Navigators, "Design For Discipleship" also by the Navigators, "Fundamentals of the Faith" by Grace Community Church, "Understanding Your Faith - A Primer" by John Roach, "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby, and "Discipleship Essentials" by Greg Ogden.

Again, welcome to the family of Christ! May God richly bless you as you grow in the faith and knowledge of Him!

ok. i became a christian a while ago. it's awesome! jesus he loves everyone. if you follow your path with him you will go to heaven! some non christians don't know about jesus. so you need to tell them! he's great and can work miracles! people will go to hell if they follow the devils way. this is a bad way! do not listen to the devil. he will often trick you and get you on his side, but you just need to say no i'm following jesus not you devil not you! everyone makes mistakes but if you can just sincerely honestly apologize to jesus he will be with you! even when people do follow the devil he still loves each and every one of them!!

You know i am a Christan how ever i believe if you are a good person you will go to heaven.I do not think people that say there are not Christians would go to hell or don't believe.God lets us have our own thoughts for a reason if he thought every one should believe in the same thing he would have made us like that. Also if people say he is great and non judgmental on alot of things. Why would he punish people with different beliefs when he hasn't made scientific prof for people that need it.

By getting converted for money and other benefits that the Church has given you, your culture does not change. Go back to your original faith where you can live with dignity. God is for every one, change of religion does not change your position vis-a-vis God.

The teaching about 'hell' is totally false. Revelation 21;14 states it will be done away with. [Hades] So it cannot be any permanent place of torture or torment.
So scrub any religion that teaches it.
And any religion that concentrates entirely on worshipping Jesus is ignoring Jesus' Father, his creator, in heaven [ Exodus 6;3] John 5;19

The key to the understanding of the Bible and of God is the person of Jesus Christ. No other person in history has affected mankind as much as Jesus Christ has. No person has been as much honored and worshipped as Jesus Christ has, and yet at the same time no person has remained as much a mystery to the human mind as He has. Many historians have considered Him a great leader, and many social reformers have considered Him a great teacher of mankind. Napoleon ranked himself equal with Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, and Charlemagne, but acknowledged that Jesus was above all of them and belonged to a different class. The early Marxists denied that He is God, and Engels even denied that Jesus ever existed. But later Marxists admitted that attempts to erase Jesus from European history and culture were fruitless and ridiculous, and that Jesus is “an example of the most sacred human values.”

However, is Jesus of Nazareth merely a great leader, a great teacher, and a model of the most sacred human values? Who is Jesus? This is one of the great questions among men since the birth of Jesus nearly two thousand years ago. The Jews of His day who opposed Him said that He was a mere carpenter from Nazareth, the son of Joseph; they said that He was only a man. Others among the Jews said that He was John the Baptist, or Elijah, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. The Gentiles of the past generations have said that He was a religious revolutionary, a great philosopher, a noble moralist, or a sacrificial servant.

One day Jesus earnestly desired to reveal Himself to His disciples, so He took them to a place called Caesarea Philippi, far away from Jerusalem, where the atmosphere of the old Jewish religion filled every man’s thought. At Caesarea Philippi He asked His disciples, “Who do men say that the Son of Man is? And they said, Some, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets” (Matt. 16:13-14).

Then Jesus proceeded to ask them a most pointed question, a question which we all must answer: “But you, who do you say that I am?” (v. 15). Only one of Jesus’ disciples, Peter, answered by saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (v. 16). By saying that Jesus was the Son of the living God, Peter was saying that Christ was God Himself (John 10:30, 33; 5:18; 1:1; 20:28; 1 John 5:20; Phil. 2:6; Heb. 1:8). The Lord responded to Peter by saying, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in the heavens” (v. 17). We need heavenly revelation to receive the blessing of seeing who Christ really is.

The Gospel of John tells the story of a disciple named Thomas who refused to believe the other disciples when they told him that they had seen Jesus after His resurrection. Thomas said, “Unless I see in His hands the mark of the nails and put my finger into the mark of the nails and put my hand into His side, I will by no means believe” (20:25). Eight days later Jesus appeared to the disciples again, and this time Thomas was with them. “Then He said to Thomas, Bring your finger here and see My hands, and bring your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing. Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God! Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed” (vv. 27-29). Thomas’s declaration of belief was that Jesus was his Lord and his God. Jesus’ response was that all who believe as Thomas did are blessed.

One of the most important foundations of the Christian faith is the confession that Christ is God. Christ is not just a great man; He is the very God Himself. When one of Christ’s disciples, Peter, acknowledged that Christ was the Son of the living God, he was proclaiming one of the greatest mysteries of the universe. The Christian church is founded upon this revelation of the divine person of Christ. Martin Luther, the Protestant reformer, said, “Take hold of Jesus as a man, and you will discover that He is God.”

If you want to know who a man is, you must ask him. Throughout history no philosopher, religious leader, or sage has dared to claim to be God. Only Jesus said that He is God.

You're responsible first, to yourself, to keep following Christ. Secondly, to others who are deceived into believing the lie that there is another way. Jesus said, "I AM the way." Follow Him.
