Carcinoma is a more serious type of cancer, but it can be beat. My friend's son had that in his calf at a young age. They beat it back. It recurred again in the same spot almost 12 years later, but again they've beat it back. When cancer spreads is when the outcome is not as good. Even then people survive for many years, and it can still be put into remission, but there are so many types of cancers and they are all so different that it's hard to predict what the long term outcomes will be in a lot of cases.

My dad has cancer in the soft tissues. He had prostate cancer about 15 years ago and was fine after a prostatectomy but developed CA again but this time it took forever to find it and it was in his soft tissues. Radiation was the treatment of choice and it helped some but not enough so now he is on hormone therapy shots which has helped a lot. I know you asked for websites but thought you might appreciate info on an actual case.
