or ACT to get accepted into college?

The user "Yo" is incorrect.

Adult college students do NOT have to take the SAT to be accepted into college.

You do have to take the ACT if you're going to take up a special degree program like Nursing. For most other courses like Continuing Education programs, an ACT and/or SAT is not required. You can get into Continuing Education programs if you have only a high school diploma.

SATs are taken by high school kids. Adult learners don't take them.

Go to the website of your local colleges for information regarding any requirements you may or may not need for the courses/programs you're interested in.

Good luck. :)

If its within 10 years of high school probably. Most colleges can waive the SAT or ACT if the circumstances are right. Each college is different so it is best to ask each college.

Most if not 100% of the reputable colleges have websites (ending in .edu) which list their detailed admissions requirements, contact information, and often a forum or FAQ.

Most likely, you can be accepted as a mature student without some of the fomalities that kids just out of high school have to go through.

I didn't have to. I am an adult student also. I took what is called a COMPASS test, which is a test that you do not pass or fail, but let's them see what classes you need to start out with.

Maybe not because you can talk to the college guidance counselor and you may be able to get CLEP credits.

You can take college courses online too
