Culture tends to have a numbing effect on religion...if religion lets itself get sucked in by the forces of culture.

The Church must wake up or it will lose its direction and purpose.

Not much. 1 Cor. 1:10 said that there would not be religious divisions among true Christians. As far as culture goes, customs of dress, foods, hairstyles, or recreation may differ. But the information that true Christians receive and apply is the same world wide.

It doesn't, really, and therein lies the problem. A religious system that doesn't grow and change to meet the needs of those whom it serves is doomed. People have forgotten that the religion is there to serve the people - not the other way around.
