The mansions mention in John 14:1-4 is a promise that Jesus gives to His disciples. Actually, the literal meaning is "a place, or room" in the Father's house.

By the way, it will transcend the best that we can even imagine. That's the point of the promise.

The Bible says 144,000 will rule in Heaven along side Jesus and the rest will reside on Paradise Earth. I don't ever remember reading that any mansion is promised to any human.

Mansion in heaven is like, the good things that someone did in this life and they will build up into something that we understand as a mansion but its something that no human could even imagine.

God has already reserved a spot by the beach or a place on a hill or wherever you would want your new house in heaven. God knows exactly what you want and where you want it. What's more, there is enough room in Heaven to build all of it! There, you will reign with him forever over heaven and all creation. I'll see you there!

Jesus was talking about storing up your treasures in Heaven, things that will have eternal value, where rust, moth, and thieves cannot get too. For if you store your treasures here on Earth, they have no eternal value(only temporary), thieves can break in and steal them and they can be destroyed by rust and time.

The Bible does mention that each true believer will receive a crown, but we will cast those crowns to the feet of Jesus, because we are not worthy to have them.
