It can, but it doesn't work very well. One of my mates tried it, but she got pretty poor results.

Yes but it won't show unless you go to the sun. Plus henna is healthy for the hair. Good luck with the smell though

henna is for conditioning hair . If henna is applied with yogurt or lemon juice it will make the hair reddish

yes Henna originated in the middle east.. where almost everybody has black hair.

Yes as long as your black hair is a natural black. You could end up with a slightly red under certain lights and out in the sun, if your hair is died black you could end up with Burgundy hair.
