Go To Start Menu Click Run On it.
Type Wordpad (Not Case Sensitive) and Press Ok/Enter button.
If the wordPad Window opens means, it is in your system/machine.
If Present then add a Shortcut to ur desktop or any other place
the Path where the wordpad application located is

I guess you have the same problem I had. I lost some components of Windows XP and had to back up files and restore my computer from the master disc that came with computer. I was also successful in retrieving some just miscellanious components by just using the restore feature in the Start Menu>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. There is always the option of going to a store such as Staples and buying Windows. Truly hope it works

If it doesnt work when you do start > run > wordpad, then you may have actually uninstalled it.
All you have to do is open
Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs >Add/Remove Windows Components
Try that

If you have your disk you can put it back that way. If it is a ms program go into control panel, add and remove MS programs and you should be able to put it in that way. Other wise there are lots of them on the net for free.
If you look on your start menu you should have a note pad on there.
