I have this kid I knew from a few years ago who would always tease me and I kind of had a crush on him. The teacher would always say that he liked me, but he would always pick on me and I hated him! So I started going to school with him again, and I kind of remember my resentment from the past, yet now he's trying to apologize for being mean in the past and not talking to me in the present, and we im now. He says it kinda sucks that I mostly remember him as the kid who picked on me and he sent me a shirtless picture of himself and told me how he doesn't have any stds... I'm just wondering, do innocent childhood crushes/bullies ever become anything more?

When I was in 9th grade this boy, Ernie, used to pick on me on the bus all the time. One day when I was 21 Ernie and his father sat at my table in the restaurant where I was waiting tables. He flirted with me the whole time! He asked me out when I brought him the check.

I said, "You don't remember me do you?" He didn't. I told him who I was and how he had teased me all those years ago. His Dad got a laugh out of that and said, "See son, I told you about burning bridges."

Anyway, I accepted his invitation and we had several very nice dates. We eventually went our separate ways with no hard feelings.

I'm glad I saw him again and took the time to get to know him after he had matured. Maybe you're guy has grown up a bit and learned a lesson about burning bridges too.

I had a similar situation, but I hold grudges so that went no where. Just because he's okay now, it doesn't change that he picked on you. Myself, I wouldn't just let it go, no matter how good looking he might be.

it sounds like this guy wants to be something more...and maybe he was teasing you because deep down he had a crush on you all along.
